Summer & Break Housing
Summer Housing Application
Summer housing is available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis. The application for summer housing will be available in the spring semester.
Winter Break Housing Application
Winter break housing is offered on a limited basis. The college asks that students only request it when necessary to ensure it remains a service for those who genuinely need it. Winter break housing is meant to be an option for those who need a place to stay for a longer duration of time.
The application is accessed by going to your Gateway and clicking the Housing icon. You will then see the Winter Break Housing Request Form under 'Forms' on the left side menu. This form will close on December 14th.
This year, the Winter Break Housing Request Form will be used for all of the following:
- Late Stay Requests
- Winter Break Housing Requests
- Early Arrival Requests
Late Stay Requests (December 21–December 23)
Late Stay is for students who cannot travel home before December 21 at noon but will not remain on campus for the full winter break.
If you only need housing between December 21 and December 23, please select the Late Stay option on the form.
Winter Break Housing (December 21–January 17)
If you cannot return home during the break, please apply for Winter Break Housing, which runs from December 21, 2024, through January 17, 2025.
Students approved for Winter Break Housing do not need to submit separate Late Stay or Early Arrival requests.
Early Arrival Requests (January 12–January 17)
Early Arrival is for students who need to return to campus before halls reopen. Approved early arrivals may return between January 12 and January 17.
Important Information for Students Changing Rooms for Spring 2026
If you are moving into a new assignment for Spring 2026—whether due to a room change or returning from abroad—you will not be able to move into your spring space until January 17, as spaces will not be ready prior to that date.
If you have concerns about this, please email reslife@dickinson.edu between January 5–9 to discuss potential flexibility or options. Please note that approval is not guaranteed, as some spaces may not be ready for occupancy.
