Professor Farber is a Clinical Psychologist who also holds a degree in Music. She is the founder and Program Director for the non-profit organization, Centre for Music and Mental Health. Her current applied research program involves exploring the impact of choir participation on cognitive functioning, loneliness, and quality of life in nursing home residents with dementia.
PSYC 480 Seminar in Advanced Topics
Advanced seminar in which students become actively engaged in reading about, reviewing, and discussing selected topics of importance in the discipline. Recent advanced topics courses have included The Psychology of Law and Medicine, Psychopharmacology, The Psychology of Groups, and Psychology of Identification. Prerequisites: 210 & 211 and junior or senior standing.
